Spring picks for the ND Book Club: Bewitching and Breathtaking

The ND Book Club at McNally Jackson will meet on April 7 to discuss Counternarratives by the magnificent John Keene and on May 5 to discuss the inimitable Mathias Énard's The Deserters.


Join us in April to discuss John Keene’s bewitching and beloved collection of stories and novellas that “open swaths of history for readers to more than imagine but to manifest and live in the passionate language of conjure and ritual” (Major Jackson).

In May, we will read the inimitable Mathias Énard’s breathtaking novel of war and its devastations, The Deserters, stunningly translated by Charlotte Mandell and recently longlisted for the International Booker Prize.

When: Every first Tuesday of the month, 7pm
